(Brief)

Create a fully custom brand identity, complete with logo, wordmark, color palette, fonts, and imagery to represent a professional leadership consultancy in the style of current brewery culture. Design and develop a website to showcase the brand and company.

(Solution)

Launched in 2022 by Chris Ediger, Craft Leadership is a leadership development company focused on making brewery culture better. Based in Atlanta, they had established relationships with various microbreweries through GiANT — another leadership development company.

After realizing the need for a company specifically designed to serve craft brewers, Chris built a team to do just that. He reached out to us to design the company's brand, one that could exist within the design culture of the craft brewing industry.

Starting with the logo, we knew we wanted to include some symbol of beer, without being too on the nose. We came up with the simplified icon of a hop, used by many other breweries; however, having it nestled within the "C" allowed us to develop a scalable word mark, while maintaining the visibility of the hop at lower sizes.

The color palette brought home the simplicity of the brand and emphasis on imagery; people gathering to enjoy a beer — community built on healthy relationships.

The website officially launched in April of 2023. The company now works with breweries in LA, Ohio, Atlanta, and New York.
