Started in 2018, Lauren Rader Photography was already an established business when they reached out to us. The company had outgrown it's current site on Squarespace and was looking to elevate the brand along with a new website and blog.
One of the challenges was making sure the SEO and Pinterest analytics held steady as we shifted the site to Webflow. It required a detailed mapping of the current sitemap, including specific URLs for each of the many blog posts. Each blog post also included a full gallery of high resolution images, usually ranging from 80-100 photos on page load. In order to decrease site load times (and help to help search rankings) we optimized a set of ~20 images for each gallery, allowing the posts to be succinct and load quickly.
Another key element was the brand. Without much of an identity in place, we brought in an aesthetic that attempted to elevate LRP into the luxury wedding space. Using neutral tones and a bold blue, much of the site emphasizes the photography as the key selling point. The brand itself was meant to supplement the work, not compete with it.
Overall, the project was extremely successful - the company having been featured in Brides of Oklahoma three times since launch. We love helping give creatives a platform to showcase their work in incredible ways.
